The
botanical garden of LANCETILLA, is located in the edge of TELA and is
famous as being the second botanical tropical garden in the world.
This
garden was built in 1926 as a experimental center by Wiliam Popenoe
of United fruit company.
There remains in the garden thousands of plants and trees gathering
the tropical vegetation. In an immense tree, scientists counted more
than 54 species of ants either more than totality of species listed
in England.
