Guatemala

1st day: Welcome to the international airport of Guatemala City. City tour in Guatemala. Overnight in Guatemala City...Note: Posibility to travel also from San Pedro Sula (Honduras).

2nd day: Guatemala City - Antigua
Transfer to Antigua, founded in 1543 and first colonial capital of Central America. City tour visiting colonial spots, central park, the Cathedral and other colonial buildings. The town enjoys a unique and impressive setting, nestled beneath three towering volcanoes and surrounded by lush evergreen forests.Overnight in Antigua.

3rd day: Antigua - Chichicastenango
Departure to visit Chichicastenango market native indian market (only Thursdays & Sundays), where colourful handicrafts of the region are for sale. Enter the 400-year-old church of Santo Tomás, where catholic and pagan rites take place in a mystical atmosphere. Then we continue to Lake Atitlan.

4th and 5th day : Lake Atitlan
In the morning we will take a boat ride to the Tzutuhil town of Santiago Atitlan. Lake Atitlan has been called by many "the most beautiful lake in the world. It is indeed an amazing setting with the crystal blue waters of the lake surrounded by the three lofty peaks of Toliman, San Pedro and Atitlan volcanoes. This is a fabulous place for hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, or just relaxing in one of the elegant hotels around the lake's shoreline.Overnight in Panachachel or Santiago de Atitlan.

6th day: Santa Lucia
We will tour the indigenous towns of Almolonga and Zunil, famous for its vegetables and flowers. We continue through the Pacific side to Santa Lucia Cotzumalguapa passing through a big coffee and sugar cane plantations.Travel and Responsible Travel in Honduras, guatemala and Central America.

7th day: Transfer to the village of COPAN Ruinas, picturesque village that in this time has the biggest MAYA civilization. For the amateurs, take advantage of the cigars of COPAN that are world-wide famous. If we arrive before 4 p.m at Copan, we will visiting the Guacamaya Mountain there you'll have the opportunity to interact with some birds like: parrots, guacamayas, toucans and others.

8th day: Visit archeological sites of COPAN, the "Acropolis", classified inheritance of the humanity by the UNESCO. Copan is one of the sites more important and was the artistic shine of the civilization MAYA. During the afternoon, we walk up to the mountain to the Chortis, native mayan village of La Pintada where you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Copán valley. By the way we will visiting "Los Sapos" (mayan hospital ruins). Possibility to do this tour with horse.

Extra Tour: Just a one hour drive from Copán, the waterfall mixes with the boiling hot water of the natural springs to create a temperature just right for soaking and relaxing. Swim in the man-made, naturally-heated pools and enjoy the countryside.

9th day: Transfer to Tela Bay. Beaches and the afro-Caribbean culture and atmosphere at Triunfo de la Cruz (Garifunas fishermen village). After the lunch, we will visiting this native Garifuna village for some rest and sun on their beaches.

10th day: Excursion in canoe with local Garifuna guide to the wild life reserve of PUNTA IZOPO, we will enter by the mangroves into this reserve. The genetical bank of this park is impressive with more than 213 howling species of tropical birds like toucans, also crocodiles and monkeys.

11th day: Excursion by our 4 wheel drive and boat to the national park of PUNTA SAL (old thirst of the pirates), visiting 3 Garifunas native village and the lagoon of Los Micos (monkeys, tropical birds and manatee among others). By the way we will visiting the Garifunas communities of Tornabé and Miami. For the lunch we will enjoy a feast of barbequed fish in the pinturesque fisherman village of Miami.

Day 12 and 13: You have 2 options

ROATAN Island. Relax.....beach and sun for the 2 last days Roatan Island is surrounded by the coral reef with its ranges of white sandy beaches, crystalline water and coconut palms. Mix yourselves in with the heat and with the various forms of coral reefs, it is recognized that more than 4000 types of fishes inhabit these magical beaches and with thousands of animals and plants, is surely heaven on earth. Possibility to snorkelling, dive, dolphin show, canopy, glass bottom boat, rent kayak...

CHACHAHUTE Cays, lasted trip 2 hours. This small island is enclosed in the middle of the coral reef. Opinion of the local ones, if it exists a paradise it is here. This island of 240 meters of long one trimmed of a sand whote beach, on melts coral, of crystalline water, and the population Garifuna is of an assured happiness.
