Mayan World

2nd day: Transfer to Copán Ruins. We will stop at the town of La Entrada to visit the local marketplace. Arrived to the picturesque town of COPAN Ruinas, we will do a city tour. For the amateurs, take advantage cigars of COPAN that are famous world-wide.

3rd day: Visit archeological site of COPAN, classified inheritance of the humanity by the UNESCO. Copan was the one of the sites more important and was the artistic place of the civilization MAYA. In the afternoon we'll visit the Mayan museum.

4th day: Transfer on the Caribbean coast. The road is beautiful, the first party passes in edge of primary forest of conifers (Copan is in altitude), the second brings gently towards the coastal végétation of the Caribbean, coconut palms and banana plantations. Arriving in Triunfo de la Cruz, native Garifuna village enjoy; beaches and the afro-Caribbean culture and atmosphere during the afternoon. Note: Severals of Coco Tours guide live in this village. 5th and 6th days: 2 days Jungle.Expedition by tipical canoe (cayucos) to the national park of PUNTA IZOPO. With our "Cayuco" we will cruise on the river to the breadth of the mangroves. The genetic bank of this park is impressive with more than 215 species of birds of which the toucans, but also crocodiles, caymans, jaguars, screaming monkeys and manatee. Then comes the night, we ourselves sleep in our camp relay. We will continue the next day morning in this park to return us progressively towards the town Garifuna of "Triunfo de la cruz", for a night. Our guides will effectuate the new preparations (gasoline, food, equipment), for the departure of the next day.

7th day: National Park Cuero y Salado
To reach the National Park you will be taking a manually operated railroad car then a small tren. Then by boat we will visiting Cuero y Salado with is natural labyrinth of mangroves, lagoons with more than 36 small rivers. This beautiful park is under protection for the population of manatees, living here also are jaguars, crocodiles and monkeys. In all, more than 35 species of animals and more than 215 species of tropical birds are indexed.

Day 8 and 9: La Ceiba - Pico Bonito, Las Mangas.
Transfer by the mountain to the picturesque village of Las Mangas inside the national park of Pico Bonito. You will spend two nights here, relaxing and exploring the natural surroundings. Also possible to enjoy some rafting, kayac, treks or canopy.

10th and 11th days: In the morning we will return ourselves with our boat to the island of CHACHAHUTE, lasted trip 2 hours. This small island is enclosed in the middle of the coral reef.
